China published growth figures which show economic stability.
China’s growth remained stable in the third quarter of this year – 6.7%, exactly as predicted by economists,and it’s a mid-term target of the Chinese government.
Following the growth figures, the falling for eight straight days in the Chinese currency was stopped.
Positive opening on Wall Street:
The Dow Jones rising by 0.6%, the S&P 500 rising by 0.7% and the Nasdaq climbed by 1%.
Commodities:
WTI oil increases by 1% to a price level of 50.4 dollar per barrel.
The gold rising by 0.3% to a price level of 1260.8 dollar per ounce.
The futures contracts pointing on a positive opening today on Wall Street, as investors keep an eye on the oil sector, and other statements that might be released by the Federal Reserve officials.
The oil prices so far today are going up, by 0.7%, and the Brent traded around 51.9 dollars per barrel.
Traders anxiously waiting for the annual conference of the OPEC oil cartel in November to see whether the major oil exporters will reach an agreement about a wide cutting productivity.
The inflation in the UK jumped to 1%.
This is the highest annual inflation rate since November 2016.
Forex market:
The English pound strengthened against the US dollar by 0.4% and traded at about 1.2236 dollars to the pound.
The Euro rises by 0.15% and traded at about 1.1015 US dollars to the Euro.
The European stock markets opened the trading day with a mixed trend at the backdrop of the earnings season on the continent.
The FTSE rising by 0.6%, THE cac decreasing by 0.7% and the DAX climbed by 0.6%.
The futures contracts on Wall Street are pointing of a slight increase of 0.3% with the opening of the trading today.
The banks reports are expected to be published before the opening of trading and will influence the markets, as well as the speech of the Fed Chairman Janet Yellen.
The construction output in the UK in August fell by 1.5% compared with July, but on an annualized basis it rose by 0.2%.
The figure for July was revised to an increase of 0.5%.
