Tokyo Stock Exchange closed today on the occasion of New Year celebrations. Shanghai strengthened by 1%, Hong Kong rising by 0.6%, and Seoul closed up by 0.9%.

The Oil rises after Kuwait made a cut in her oil production, according to the agreement signed by OPEC.
The WTI oil rising by 0.6% to $ 54 a barrel.
The Brent oil rising by 0.6% to $ 57 a barrel.
